Learn to Frame your own Needlework
with Catherine Winneberger
Saturday, June 25, 10:00 AM

Sign-ups open now!

Our first Framing Seminar with professional framer Catherine Winneberger is being held on Saturday, June 25th starting at 10 AM at Needlecraft Corner where you can shop and have a light refreshment before we leave at noon for Bowman's Restaurant which is located about a mile north of the shop.  We will have a special menu for you to choose from which will include a full lunch, tea, coffee, water and a selected dessert.  Your menu options will be shared with you when you register with us.  All registrations must be in by Saturday June 18th so that we can let the restaurant know how many are coming and your food selections.

After lunch, Catherine will begin working with everyone giving hands on instructions on pinning and lacing your picture to prepare for you to frame once you leave this class.  You will bring a needlework piece that is ready to be prepared for framing no larger than 11 x 14.  She will cut the foam core boards to fit your individual needlework and your lesson will begin.  We will provide you with a small list of things you will need to bring with you.

She is not providing any type of wood frames.  This class is to show you the professional way to prepare a piece of needlework before it is actually placed in a frame at a later time.

Catherine is one of my customers, a cherished friend and we would love to share her bio here with you.  Here's a little more about her.

The price of the Class and full luncheon is $125.00 payable in full upon registration.  We can only accommodate 40 people as the luncheon as well as the afternoon framing session will be done in the restaurant's dining room which by the way is quite beautiful.

I hope that you will join us for a day of shopping, a wonderful lunch at a beautiful restaurant and most of all a full afternoon of framing instruction from a great and talented lady!!

If you took her class at my retreat this past July, I hope you will return for this one as we take this class to the next level for you to actually work on your own individual framing piece.

What do you need to bring with you??

  • Stainless Steel pins (there is a difference from plated pins)
  • A large eyed needle
  • Waxed Dental Floss Scissors
  • A desire to learn to stretch and frame your beautiful creations!
